AMP Holds National Seminar on “Education Roadmap for the Community” at Jamia Millia Islamia

New Delhi: The Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) organized a national seminar on “Education Roadmap for the Community” today at the JSSS Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia University. The event saw the participation of prominent educators, social leaders, vice-chancellors, deans, senior professors, and school principals from across the country, who discussed strategies to promote education and collaborate on national development.

Mr. Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities (Government of India), attended the event as the chief guest. He emphasized that the government and the National Commission for Minorities are working for the development of all minority communities. He encouraged the participating educators and social organizations to provide suggestions for minority upliftment, stating that the Commission is open to receiving their input. Mr. Lalpura highlighted the emphasis on education in the Quran, calling for the community to follow the educational path outlined in it. He shared that he himself studied the Quran for four years and authored a book on it, which is also studied at Lahore University.

Mr. Lalpura praised AMP’s nationwide efforts in promoting education and employment and assured support for such initiatives. He called upon organizations and individuals involved in community development to cooperate and share their challenges and potential solutions. He reiterated the government’s and the Commission’s commitment to the welfare of minorities and lauded AMP’s career guidance and education-employment initiatives. After reviewing AMP’s career charts displayed for students at Jamia, he recommended displaying charts of government welfare schemes in schools.

The speakers shared valuable insights on promoting educational empowerment within the community. On this occasion, the AMP National Talent Search 2024 poster was also unveiled by the chief guest and other distinguished dignitaries.  The event was skillfully conducted by Farooq Siddiqui, AMP’s National Head of Coordination. Mr. Siddiqui highlighted AMP’s 17-year journey of service, which operates in India with support from over 150 chapters and thousands of volunteers committed to educational awareness and employment. Altmash Mohammad, Head of AMP Delhi Chapter, welcomed the esteemed guests and appreciated the contributions of AMP under the leadership of Aamir Edresy over the past 17 years. At the event, AMP National Awards for Social Excellence 2024 were also presented to notable recipients. National-level awardees included:
